Double your money

Bet 107
Loser
Minus £5

Bank now £17.41 after 107 bets from starting bank of £50.

I'm not too devastated: my main bet in the race was one I always do, The Toff. It won, praise the heavens! :D
I didn't want to jinx it by putting it up here. And the place price was too low.

Haven't watched the race yet. I was too busy chatting on about covid etc. o_O:)

Edit.

OK watched it now, and the Shoemark timed his effort just right to win, while Topo was just pipped a neck at the finish for third, after a terrible wide run most of the way.
So, not the end of the world.
Being able to corner properly at that last bend at Lingfield is crucial to success.

BET FOR THURSDAY = HUEHUETECO v Xinabajul 1pt HOME WIN @ Odds 1.85 kick off 00.00am.
..... another disappointing draw 1-1 when I was getting so near the ultimate goal of doubling the money. Losing some vital points currently. Bank = 47.41 - 1.00 Watford loss 1-3 and - 1.00 for Guatamala loss 1-1 above = 45.41 C/Fwd.

BET FOR FRIDAY = LOKOMOTIVA

A dodgy bet again today: price lengthened straightaway after I placed the bet. :)

Attempt 4, Bet 108

3.45, Windsor, So Smart, £5 @2.1, 3TBP to pay 5.39

Bet 108 (mON, 24TH)
loser
Minus £5

Yes, well beaten by a good winner into 4th. A prolific loser that, with its stable mate, went off far too fast, too early, to give no chance of lasting home in the soft at Windsor.
Young Voikhansky , the winner jockey, rode a very good race to give himself a winning double.

My selection had finished ahead of this winner lto at Yarmouth. :D

Well, I'm a silly fool; I like N. Callan, and backed him in the 4.20, which he won.
He also came 2nd in the race I put up above, where I backed something else.

In both races, his price for 2nd was within the price limits of this thread, as it turns out. Getting matched at the restricted price is part of the battle.

Ah well, yet again, I get a winner, while this experiment continues to plummet. :D

Frankly, I'll be glad when it finally crashes and burns. That's part of the problem; I'm not concentrating enough on it, as I really dislike this end of the Market.
Never mind, it's all good training! Painful, however. :)

very true my friend, it is a slow painful process to get there, and I am stringing along to prove that it can be done. But from an attractive bet point of view, it is like watching paint dry. Where are all the other contestants who started out on this journey. Have they all fallen by the wayside, or dropped out through sheer drudgery! ;)

Chap at work used to say "when the going gets tough, the tough get going". Delboy99 Delboy99
I think in our case, it means most got going elsewhere; just like if trouble starts in the pub, many folk feel the urge to go to the toilet or outside for a smoke.

Everybody shuns pain and seeks pleasure.
I only keep going bc somebody said my weakness is a lack of discipline.

Got to admit I don't enjoy this, but, I'll keep going till it busts, I hope. I feel I must be learning something. That remains to be defined.
All a bit like banging me head agin the wall; nice when I stop. :)

Anyway, you are doing much better than myself, so good fortune!
