Double Qualifiers

Alien

Gelding
Hello everyone,
My first post, but been dipping in and out of the forum for a few years now, and finally decided to register a few weeks ago. I have been following a few threads with interest.
My reason for posting is that it recently crossed my mind to find out if betting the same qualifier(s) on 2 or more of my saved systems on HRB would prove profitable.
That is, two or more completely different systems, not variations on a theme.
I followed this through the first four days of September up to the Saturday, and it made 9 points profit.
This got me intrigued so it checked how it would have preformed from June 1st onwards.
There was a lot of work involved downloading qualifiers to excel on every system that I have saved on HRB (currently 84), and then checking for multiple instances of each horse, but it proved worth it.
Currently it has made 94.7 points profit at BSP, and is outperforming all ten of the systems I am currently betting.
Has anybody else ever tried this. Might be worth a look!

🏇Since that very first post, I have been monitoring this angle, always a little wary of betting these double qualifiers.
In addition to my usual system bets, it would add about half as many again.
As the flat season is now well under way, I thought that I would give this a go for real.
After posting, September went on to record 11.84 points profit. October was a loss of 18.91 points.
November was perhaps a blip month which included the winner Magnificence at Redcar 125/1. (310 on Betfair), and ended up +320.43 points.
December recorded a loss of 6.75 points
January was down 3 points.
February was down 2 points.
March was down 4.99 points.
April is currently in profit to the tune of 19.70 points.
Take the blip month out and the total is a loss of 4.11 points.

It seems to me to be best on the flat. Depending on how it goes will determine whether or not this has merit, or requires dumping.

I will be back with today’s bets shortly…..
🤞🍀🤔

Alien Alien if i have read your above correctly you are deploying 84 systems and the selections are when two or more systems both give the same horse. How many bets where involved to produce the profits you quote because the ROI would give some notice of the worth. Whatever well done the systems which found Magnificence. :clap:

Hi mick mick .
I actually now have a fully loaded 100 systems, that am happy with.
Bets per month as follows:
Sept = 99
Oct =115
Nov = 20
Dec = 8
Jan = 13
Feb = 11
March = 32
April = 34 so far

That totals 332 bets.

And the systems that found the biggie was a stallion based and a trainer based.

🏇Worse case scenario is I at least get my money back.🙏
There are three Double Qualifiers today:

15:30 Windsor THE PRINCES POET
16:05 Windsor YUMMYLICIOUS
16:15 Pontefract DOGGED
🤞🍀🤔

Cheers Alien Alien its an interesting problem to have because the profits come from that Blip winner and only you can judge the likelihood of something simular occurring in the future. Anyway posting some pre race qualifiers on this thread will increase the interest and i wish you well with that. I do not use systems but we have plenty of knowledgeable members who do and hopefully some of those will be able to contribute. :)

I know mick mick you are a method based punter rather than a systems bettor.
I don’t usually have time to study form etc so systems are, for the foreseeable future anyway, more convenient for me, but I know all too well they have a tendency to bite you in the backside when your hopes are set high for them.

I should point out, although I have 100 systems saved, I am only religiously following 10 of those. The rest go to contribute to these Q2 bets. The amount of bets those ten systems throw up is plenty for me each day.
I just thought I could manage a few more here.
:)

Well that was a good start! All lost:
2nd :headbang:
4th (had a troubled passage in the race i thought)
2nd:headbang:
So down 3 points to begin with.

I'll be posting tomorrows Q2's a bit later on tonight.:)

Hi mick mick .
Just re-reading your post.
The likelihood of that happening, I would assume would be a once-a-year event at best, however, I was disregarding the blip month.
My reasoning behind starting this thread up was the profits obtained during the June-September period last year, which amounted to 94.7 points profit.
I was very surprised by this assuming it would turn out to be a heavy loss.
That’s when the further six month paper trading started. To base things on the Oct-March period alone I think would be enough for me to re-think things, and would have stopped me from rebooting this thread.
As I said, I think it is better on the flat, but only time will tell.
:)
