C'mon Leeds!

Too defensive in the second half and way too many back passes when attacking opportunities arose.

Home v Arsenal will be interesting

It's touch and go if Leeds can win this today, but 7.00 is generous to say the least. We are not the same team that faced the Arse' at the start of the season - who may be on a bit of a wobble at the moment. If Leeds score first, this might put a bit of pressure on them.

The Xg suggests a high scoring draw and I am confident of us taking a point (at least). It all depends on how Farke sets the stall out.

Should be a cracker!

Leeds ELO has improved, after those 4 defeats, at the end of November, from 1703 to 1776 mainly due to their Home performances.

The model suggests a hard game to predict.

Arsenal like to keep things tight in the first half away from home, and rev up in the 2nd half. Leeds like to set off like a bat outta hell. Arguably, Leeds could be away and gone by HT (ie: v Chelsea), or, if concede early, be in for a tough afternoon. The value indicator thinks there's 22% book value in Leeds favour @7.0+. The predicted scores are: 1-1, 1-2, 2-0.

Arsenal's ELO shows they are the top rated team in Europe @ 2056 (Bayern Munich @ 1980) are next. Their ELO gets reduced quicker when they lose, or even draw against inferior opposition, it only creeps up a little, unless they beat a well rated team away, like Inter Milan.

If they're in the same mood as they were v Inter Milan, it could get messy.

Well, going by the MOTD analysis, Leeds clearly didn't do their homework on Arsenal set pieces!

Home v Forest is now a must-have 3pts, especially if said team and Burnley pick some up today/Monday.

Does have the look of a solid draw, which would suit Notts Forest.

If Leeds do score first, they should go and get a second, and then hang on in for dear life in the 2nd half.
If Leeds concede first, they have enough about them to chase the game and at least get a point.

Bad result for us from West Ham today. I think Wolves and Burnley are gone. Final place rests between Leeds, Forest and West Ham. I think West Ham will get out of it making last night’s result very important. We have some difficult games coming up. It’s never easy being a Leeds fan.

Current odds, drag C.Palace and Spurs into the mix!

There's a tendency for relegation teams to put together a run of form that puts stress on the others around them.

The Man City (115 breaches) make them 33/1, no idea what's gonna happen, if anything, but there's a chance of enough points deducted to put them in the mix too.

The joys of being a Leeds fan, eh? I’ve travelled all over the country with this lot since Revie’s days and after Don the only other really great time, for me, was under Wilko. Great days, but we were much younger then. Anyway, on to the current team, which I’m pleased to say, don’t roll over as much these days and so a good result is often likely. We play Chelsea at their place on Tuesday and I don’t hold out much hope. West Ham host Man Utd and the following day Forest have Wolves at home. If those results go against us, and they quite easily could, we’re back in the mix and with the final day seeing us at West Ham those odds of 8/1 look pretty tempting as an insurance bet that you don’t hope to collect but will relieve the pain somewhat if you do. Anyway, whatever happens we have had a much better season than I anticipated and for that I’m grateful and I also think that Farke has done a decent job given the lack of help and support he’s had from the current owners.

Looking at the current table, any in the bottom half could wind up in the relegation mix. Palace and especially Spurs aren't doing to good at the moment, although the former has a chance of 3 pts today.

I think Leeds' saving grace this season is that a lot of teams have underperformed, probably making us look better than we are and giving us half a chance to avoid relegation.

Let’s face it who would miss the the Black Hole that Tottenham has become , I can only guess at who or what persuaded Grey to leave Leeds for Tottenham a club that has struggled ever since the Venables days (sorry Kev but it’s true) I can remember the days when the likes of Dave McKay and Blanchflower were touchstones of excellence , long gone another one in the mix is West Ham also what do they bring to the party - are we good enough to stay in the top flight ? Not sure that we are currently but as you say Fark is making a good fist of it with very limited resources - if the “Fish stinks from the head down “ well then we should be ok , he doesn’t (possibly cannot) play flashy football but rather grinds it out in a Teutonic fashion, builds and builds towards the result , problem we have is the speed of opposition breaks constantly find us out and then you are relying on a top class defence and goal keeping to keep them out.
If we want long standing success we need stability and internal growth , is he the right man , he is what he is , I think let’s give him a chance to prove his tactics and nouse for another season at least before making any terminal decisions.
