Class/form horses

Hope that things work out OK with your Blood Tests. I have them twice a year as I am a Diabetic 2 . Diet controlled since 2014. Obviously the HBA1C always come back abnormal and now and again one of the other things they test for comes back abnormal .

You may find that a repeat blood test come back ok. It can be simple as not drinking enough with regards Kidney Function or drinking too much with liver function etc

It may not hurt to check out Dr David Unwin, I found him very good in regard to Type 2 Diabetes, best of luck BC,

Never give up

for all who feel sad or sick

Thank you. :handgestures-thumbup:

My wife says I'm a bit of a hypochondriac.

But as I tell her, just because I'm a hypochondriac doesn't mean I'm not ill 🫥

That is certainly an uplifting one, particularly for those of a religious persuasion.

This is the one I'd like at the end of my service, if I can find a clean recording:

Forget the name of it and the fact that it is from a scene in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, but just listen to the music. I think it is amazing. Chills.

There is some awesome music on here. Epic from Jam - you could do a lot worse than having that played as you go out dancing.
The sheer beauty of the Ennio Morricone Orchestra and the performance of Susanna Rigacci is heavenly. What a massive array of talent in that orchestra. Sometimes there are no words to describe such magnificence.
I can say no more.
Thanks for posting.

I've not been here for a while, I joined a couple of years ago and wondered off due to one thing and another. Mostly moving job and home actually.
But now I've had a chance to have a good look round her and, as someone with an interest in VDW, I did want to ask a quick question before getting properly involved.

As someone who remembers the old VDW boards and all the in fighting and nastiness, I can see a bit of isolation, even bullying, of people who prefer to do things a different way to some others. (Oddly not something I've found elsewhere on this site).
So, would I be correct in thinking that what might be termed "old style VDW" thinking is actively discouraged. I notice when threads are started by "VDW-ers" they are usually commandeered and side tracked by detractors... in a dismissive rather than constructive way.

I'm particularly puzzled that some members take it upon themselves to denigrate those who don't "post their advance selections". There seems a fundamental misunderstanding that different people must all think, research, discuss etc in the same way. Some people are pretty good at collecting data, presenting it and so on, but not so clever at interpreting it.

Scientists can be brilliant at planning how some technology will work in theory, not so clever as the guys in the factory at putting it together. And vice versa. I would think that people working together with different skills is exactly what a forum like this is for.

I suppose I'm asking if the whole thing is board policy, or is it that just as in real life some people can be arseholes?
" bullying" ?

The NHS change the goal posts with regards HBA1c levels. At one time on the old levels I was pre diabetic. Then they lowered the level . As long as it remains similar to when I was first diagnosed I’m happy with that. My weight is the same and I keep an eye on that, as well as walking at least 3 miles everyday.

The diabetic nurse is always in the last couple of years pushing medication . When I asked the common side effects, urine infections and thrush were common. I said no thanks, my HBA1c was only 47 and lower than when I was first diagnosed

I meant to say earlier, Roy Taylor at Newcastle University was all over the news a short while back, as it looks like they have discovered the cause of Type 2 Diabetes.

"We now know that type 2 diabetes is caused by excess fat inside liver and pancreas."

Link to Newcastle University page

So getting rid of excess body fat, particularly visceral fat around the organs, by whatever diet may work for you, is the priority. I have my thoughts on diets, but that's not for this thread.

We might not see him Again for a couple of years. Made 6 posts before today. The last In

From what I can see Chesham has given more helpful information, and also explained it better than anyone I have seen in 45 years of betting, and then has this vitriol fired at him.

He should be receiving platitudes, this forum would be dead without him, the forum is lucky to have him.

T Thomas - Chesham Chesham is certainly one of the most, if not the most, important contributors that this forum has.

But you only have to look at the posts he directed to JennyK JennyK to see that P PlayUpPompey has a valid point. And to his full credit, Chesham Chesham has stated:
Fair play I will just post my pre race analysis on this thread and nothing more. I will let others decide if they get any value in Reading those posts. They are based on Class/Form.

I was on Gummy's forum. It wasn't pleasant. Sand in the eyes hurts and is difficult to wash out.

If we all play nicely, we can enjoy the sandbox together. :happy-wavemulticolor:

Classified (though without the l) rang a bell, BC BC, and although as far as I can see he did not comment on the 12/01/02 race, Lee apparently backed it a few runs later, posting on 04/04/02:

"I had other arrangements today that meant I had to back Classified at SP prior to leaving this morning, hoping for perhaps 5/2. As it happens I walked through the door just as the race had started and to say that he didn't look as though he was enjoying himself throughout the race would be an understatement. But, had I have walked in with 2 furlongs to go I would have presumed he'd torn the field apart throughout. The fact that surprised most though had to be the price."

Hoping for 5/2, Lee would have been delighted with 9/2.

It is a good "Roushayd" example, although one where Lee relaxed slightly his normal 3/3 requirement for key horse form support.

No I just gave you and the whole membership a free system, what you do with is up to you .

That wasn't my point, it was that you posted "60% winners" with regard to a system.

That's just fact. Just because you use the paid online system builder you promote so well doesn't change that 60% claim.

If someone wants to use Pegwell Bay or Roushayd to finds trends it isn't different.

You may well be, and probably are, better than most at getting winners out of it.

Once a race has been run, a winning selection posted afterwards offers very little educational value. There’s nothing to learn from it, nothing to discuss, and nothing to understand about the reasoning behind the choice.

You're the boss and I accept that's how it is.
Though, VDW? Aftertimed Roushayd, Little Owl etc? 50 years of discussion.

Bullying: unwanted, repeated aggressive behaviour that involves a real or perceived power imbalance.
That's fair. If someone has the respect of most members, and unwavering support because of what he gives to the board, and he then for example follows a member around posting images and making negative comments, an almost perfect example.
