That’d be fun. A team of limited but committed grafters send a team of overpaid, underperforming superstars (well, they think they are) down. I’d take that.i can see leeds sending then down
I didn’t think they would go down, but I was very unimpressed with them yesterday. It’s going to be tight between them and WHam, but of the two I’d happily see Spurs drop a division. I wonder how many of us watched Rochdale v York yesterday. What a game. Hard, committed, football. Well refereed with an explosive finish. Everything that the PL is not. I enjoyed every minute of it and I had no particular interest in either team. I felt sorry for Rochdale but their time will surely come via the play offs. At the end of the day York did deserve their win. Well played both teams and thanks for reminding me how football should be played.
HiThe pyramid brings much better games in front of a few hundred people. A lot who play are ex academy players so have a talent better than most.
It isn't really amateur anymore as the top two teams in National League North are professional. Fylde won the league i a topsy turvy last few weks and South Shields, who have spent a few bob to get here from Northern League Div 2, step 6, must try via the play offs. Just below Shields were Kidderminster Harriers who the great Jan Molby got them promoted to the football league. Far more interesting than Tottenham staying up or going down.
My team were relegated this season so back to the Northern League for Newton Aycliffe.
