I thought with threads being a little quiet to say the least would start one with biggest race of the day with any thoughts on it.Might be other races around world better but i will stick to uk racing but any one can chip in and add there biggest race if wish or comment on this race also bit of fun on race we all will watch and enjoy hopefully.
The race i am looking at is the Haldon Gold Cup 3 35 exeter.
third time lucki looks to me like horse who likes small fields and good going and looks to have both but just looks like horse who running keen and held up might find this race stop start, and i dont think the style he runs isnt improving and just seems to be staying same level.
war lord again likes to be just held up but by looking at the entres this might just be to short as looks like after last run too there already thinking further and if no blistering pace set which looking at it i doubt for early part any way might find this all to fast second part.
greaneteen this is top notch 2 miler who has had ups and downs but undoubtley has the ability again likes to be held behind leader which only gives it two choices to either lead or nichols to let dolos kick on which might not be bad thing as i still think that would be reasonably slower pace and then greaeteen taking up maybe three out so if nichols is right and his work has been better i think the two pretenders have there work cut out against greaneteen here.

Just been watching races so far today and i have noticed a few beautifull looking horses big strapping looking and all have been coming to two out looking magnificent with ears pricked.
Unfortuantley they all have been tailed off.
So just shows the bollocks they talk on tv.
 
I think tomorrow the big race is the 1 50 wincanton badger beer handicap i will come back later with my thoughts.
But feel free for any thoughts on this race also.
 
well in this 1 50 wincanton tomorrow i am going to only mention 4 horses as the rest look like they have something to find in this and unless these four dont perform one should win.
enrilo this horse has had wind op and beat potterman at sandown but lost race in stewards room is actually better of in weights, then was behind cap du nord at kempton but again is better of at weights, i dont think has had many races where finished has not run bad and if wind op works could be alot to come breed to stay. i think will follow lead by fodon.
foden i think also had wind op and has been great little horse for nichols will surely lead my feelings on him is begining to decline being small maybe all the hard races just left mark on him, loves cheltenham but this might just be alittle to fast for him to dictate with comfort.
cap du nord as i said earlier beat enrilo and on usual thoughts would be in with good chance in this exspecially getting nice lead in race but the worry i have even although had run to get sharp is trainer is just not in good form as yet ok most where given no chance to be fair so just maybe missleading and if thats so could run well.
potterman who finished behind enrilo but got race has run second in this twice and there is no doubt his trainer are going well so i would have no doubt will be spot on for this.
So after looking at the ifs and buts which there is alot so early in season i personnally feel the safe bet is potterman who goes well fresh and will get race run to suit and enrilo who has more to offer and if wind op is successfull could be well in are the two to consider.
 
Well in the 2 35 sandown looks to me like only three possibles in race and can nichols get other winner and then he would have won the three biggest races so far.
He runs pic d'orhy who is stepping up in distance and for small field i think there will be plenty pace on this as most like to show up early.
Personnally i think this horse might struggle to last home round here over this distance and will be found wanting the reason being i think to many races have been small fields and just not been put under gun enough to be hardened.
Then we have does he know won good race at ascot then was found out in big race at cheltenham where fantasticas finished in front of him and considering does he know likes cheltenham i feel maybe fantastikas has the edge over him.
I think fantasikas might just have edge on stamina and any softing on ground would be massive bonus, But even allowing for good going i think will be enough pace to cause trouble for other two lasting home.

Well its not the greatest race but is still biggest of day and all eyes will be on tommy's oscar who ran in champion hurdle last year after run of wins and if was hurdle race would be long odds on but its not and i am not so sure he is good thing in this tends to pull hard and won 2 horse race on first chase. i think jumping will be tested tomorrow more and over softer ground wont find it easy.
cheddleton on other hand will love the ground softer the better beat cornerstone lad 2 years ago and was giving weight so should take care of that horse.Exsperience over fences big plus on this ground and won only time round here.
malystic run well only run round here and should go ok but feel has bit to find.
red rookie i just feel is maybe not breed to jump fences although will love ground but could come unstuck here with jumping.
