Urmmmm don't want to piss on your chips here I think that bet is an utter rip off ?? You wait 15 mins in and you will get 1.98 for the the 0.5 fhg. Plus you also get to see if the goal is coming via inplay stats.

Could not agree more, around the 10/12 minute mark is where I usually place my bets. That applies to most of my football wagers in the main, but then it will depend on if I am able to watch or not. I do feel that I have to put the odds up that are available when posts are made though.
The betting public should really be more aware when placing football wagers, but they are not. They have no idea about odds, they just want to get on. Oh dear.

I would think that any bet is a silly bet in your view, save your own of course. All that matters is at the end of the year the books are well into the Black.

Strange but no I spent the best part of 30 years in this game and no my onions tried alsorts of stuff and settled on the thing that makes money and if your clued up enough about football it's inplay. The reason is the bookmakers cannot react or simualte a goal coming so they make mistakes in the way they price things up. I have all inplay data to hand all on one webpage to help me make the perfect decision to trade or bet on a football game. Without the tools you won't win there are much more asute people and programs about.
Believe you me I have tried everything to beat the bookmakers football wise and it's not about the money it's about beating them and it's almost impossible pre kick off to do that.

It does make you wonder why they keep giving away free in play bets on football which on the face of it gives you guaranteed profits

Even if you do beat them consistently for larger amounts they will restrict your bets as I am only too aware.
In play is always the best way "if your aim is to beat the bookies errors", but as you say there are people and software out there that takes "some" of that edge away, even if like myself you have the tools you need right in front of us.
We cannot predict when a goal is going to happen, neither as far as I am aware can any software. All we can do is to do our own makeup of a game pre KO and then watch the charts and the prices whilst in play for any errors and be fast to obtain that error.
The "silly" little bets are worthwhile if one can maintain a healthy SR that keeps one in the Black.
With the game I put up today I put in my order for two of the selections as singles on the exchanges Over 1.5 and BTTS. From my own experience the prices I wanted were what I considered to be of any use for a certain SR, and they are usually matched with 15/17 minutes, unfortunately a goal came very early, so the bets were no longer of value so I cancelled them knowing full well that there will be hundreds and thousands of matches to choose from in the future.
As you have stated. You have found your edge/way and others have found theirs. At the end of the year we each and everyone of us have the same goal. Just as long as we achieve our goal then our own way is fine.

They want new blood who have no idea of value or have any kind of knowledge what betting is all about. Nothing the leeches give is free "over a period of time".

@Orion I say people with software I mean the likes of the bookmaker who have there own regards football and have many people who work at it. Personally I have my own software which I have had developed over the last few years where I can see all matches inplay and take advantage of that. Much the the same as https://www.starlizard.com and how they make there money. It's a case

If you actually analyse the bets I put up then there are only two elements to it save for when I add BTTS. Backing the others in singles is all about patience and timing for myself. Then there is the homework of course. Going through a hundred or so games is time consuming as you are only too aware.
I find Geekstoy does the job for me now, it certainly is a lot easier compared to the software I used before which was created by a friend many years ago.. I no longer have to sit staring at the screen or if I choose I do not have to watch the game for the whole 90 minutes.
