Back to basics

Not a nice chap is he!
I've had several rumbles with him in the past. Self opinionated, rude, blinkered and an 'Egotwat'.
Anyway...Hi to all. :)

I take it the Elvis impersonator has left the building LOL. You would think living in the south of the country he would have a sunnier disposition.

Onwards and upwards

Good Luck

Chesham,

I should of been clearer, it is Malbic, he sent me an email just before my post 94

From the conversations I have had with Malbic in the past I found it hard to believe that he was Royal Palace, so I emailed him to ask him if he was posting as Royal Palace. He said that if he was to join the forum he would use Malbic as his username, and that he would never use the language that Royal Palace did.

Thanks AR, perhaps it was John D then. You should be able to check from the IP address if they try to get back on under a different email address

Good Luck

Chesham

Have to say I also had some problem believing Royal Palace was Malbic as all the dealings I had with him were very polite and cordial.

Be Lucky

It was definitely Malbic, I have sifted out an email of him explaining his Erin numbers in exactly the same way.
I had a niggling feeling that I had seen what RP offered up before, I then ironically received an email from Malbic talking about this forum, it does not take a brain surgeon to put two and two together.
Also to be fair Mtoto, he has not come here as Malbic, so he can act in what ever manner he feels like.

Hi Bobba

Malbic was saying he knew the Erin Numbers on the old Forum He said that a certain Horse had a Probables number of 6. I sent an email to a chum about this "I would imagine that he arrived at this figure by him finishing 4th LTO and was 2nd Fav = 4+2 = 6 Of course he is wrong again."

This looks very similar to the RP version

We had loads of after time selections from Malbic and never a pre race.

This was a post he made to Mtoto and like RP says that he was around in the 70's when VDW started writing
Mtoto
We will always disagree because you seem to put such great weight on the value of ratings.
I see the PK example as the initial building block. To me and most of my contemporaries at the time in the 70's what VDW wrote was without question a simple but indisputable truth. Most winners are within the confines of the first 5/6 in the betting and if you wish to argue about probables then what is wrong with the surmise that those within the forecast are in reality THE probables. You would certainly come closer to VDW's challenge of having "the same horses as me" Isn't it extraordinary that given those two first principles many miss the target so often.

The funniest was a Response from Black Bullet to a Malbic Post

Malbic

A good day for the probables which included a breathtaking performance by a wonderful horse

Black Bullet

What a f***ing tosser, he has after timed Denman and now he knows the probables LOL

Good Luck

Chesham

Luckily, there are more good posters than bad.

Jim Rohn once said ' There are not a lot of negative people in the world, they just move round a lot.'

You could say the same in forumland.

Good card at Musselburgh tomorrow:)

It's a good job I am not a brain surgeon, I have been categorically informed by Malbic that he is not RP.
So apologies to all who been emotionally upset by this and of course apologies to Malbic for being the victim once again by proxy

Well RP or whoever has departed hopefully I can get back to learning from the wise ones on here now thanks for your efforts chaps I am pleased to be able to read your efforts

Now it has all gone quiet I thought I might sneak back onto this thread :D. Where was I?

Feels rather like the 'woah' here when I was a kid, just 'Keep Calm and Carry On', or maybe an epic film 'Carry on Up the Racecourse', would be more apt. Picked another difficult race today - why do I do it?
