.... just caught up with this and another very late selection:-
SPORT RECIFE v Sao Bento Home Win @ odds 1.54 which will be updated tomorrow sometime.
Meanwhile tonight's effort realised two correct from four selections:-
Winners were Turkey 1-0 and France 1-0 whilst Morocco could only draw 1-1 and MVV Maastricht drew 0-0.
So apart from the match above still in progress, the latest position is now 78 correct from 104 selections (75.00%).
That's it for another day, will be in action sometime tomorrow no doubt. ;)
 
..... OK popped in for the update from last night.
The favourites Sport Recife did eventually win the match by 2-0 so the latest figures now read 79 correct from 105 selections (75.24%)

......@Shauno many thanks Shauno for your support, it feels like I am writing to myself most of the time. I feel like Moses wandering about in the wilderness for forty years without getting to the promised land! Anyway I just popped back to say that surprisingly enough there are no selections for the 3-o clock kick offs. Obviously the favourites are priced way above my criteria. Will be back if and when the situation changes. ;)

..... yep! I am still here but little signs of any action on a day where there is still a lot of football around. Wonder if I am redundant or whether there could still be some action around 7-45pm or nearer 8pm with the later kick offs. :crazy:
 
...... you are absolutely right. I have not had a "bite" all day as the fishermen often say. Mind you I did adjourn for tea in between times. I actually completed the Paul Steele Power Ratings and the Elo Ratings in good time for next week. What sort of betting are you into? Is it football and do you follow anything in particular? Will probably switch off when I go down for a lite bite supper as there seems to be very little around and really amazed. :handgestures-thumbup:

..... I've been matched betting for a over three years, but about a year ago realised that my remaining opportunities there were coming to an end. So I've tried a bit of everything, football's the main focus. B2L on the horses was pretty successful, but I got bored waiting for the right opportunities. Working off a Mac, Bots are not very successful.
It was the fact I work off of a Mac stopped me from having a dabble with APS. I've tried most football systems with limited success, ASP (Assured Socer Profits) works pretty well, but when one goes wrong the liability can wipe out the profit from quite a few successful trades. So now I tend to stick to the goal markets, I could go on for hours with varying stories of success/failure on these markets.
I have a number of demo systems I have paper traded for 1000+ trades/bets & have a 75% success rate. But still little or no profit to show because of the liability of the other 25%.
I recently read a book called "The Lazy Man's Mans Way To O2.5 & BTTS Selections", it's good and easy to understand and action. I've only paper traded that since last weekend 5/7 correct so far.
I've had some success with value betting recently, finding value through the Poisson method.
All-In-All, I'm holding my own in my trades/bets, but a long way from finding that Holy Grail we all look for.
Profits little and often seems to be the route of success.
Anyway could go on for hours, but I won't.
Be lucky....
 
Shauno Shauno ..... interesting tale you have there Shauno and well travelled. I will reply more intensely tomorrow when I have some time. Meanwhile on my way to pillow talk I will update the one remaining result. Bragantino kept the flag flying with a splendid 2-0 victory so the updated figures are now 80 correct from 106 selections (75.47%). This brings an end to a very uneventful day as far as betting goes. If Coventry win tomorrow I could have 3 doubles and a treble up, but I guess that is in the lap of the god's. :dance:

Shauno Shauno .... Hi there Shauno. Just replying to your thread above as I promised last night. You certainly have been around football betting for a while now and probably like most of us going around in what is best described as a circle of doom. Dabbling here and dabbling there and because a system does not appear to work, then we move on and the whole action repeats over and over again. Been there done it and got the tee shirt. Been on Assured Soccer Profits too with John Duncan but was never convinced by the stats he used to put out, and it could be very costly in trying for what amounted to small profits. I note that with using a Mac you are hampered by not being able to use Auto Profit Soccer. Well you really don't need it as you can put the bets on yourself as a lot of it is controlled by the odds. On my XT Starter thread go to message number 17 and you will find my e-mail address. Send me an e-mail and I will discuss how this can be done and I hope this helps. As regards the Holy Grail we all look for, I doubt very much whether it exists, Iv'e been looking for more years than I care to remember and have still not found the perfect system as yet. Good to be able to discuss things, do keep popping in, it costs nothing!:D
 
..... nothing further come through as yet so it is just a question of the update in the above match. The Favourites Catania scraped a narrow 1-0 win so I'm not complaining. Latest figures are now 81 correct from 107 selections (75.70%)

..... the two selections above turned out to be the only ones for placing the bets on, so I continue with the update. In this Euro qualifier Poland did get the better of North Macedonia and eventually won by 2-0. So the latest position now reads:- 82 correct from 108 selections (75.93%) which I am quite happy with at the moment. Back tomorrow evening with some anticipated action. :dance:

another mixed bag as results go for tonight. France could only draw against Turkey, a side they were expected to beat. This ended 1-1 with a late Turkey equalizer. Real Garcilaso were better as they were never in doubt with a 2-0 win and favourable statistics. This now makes the up to date reading as 83 correct from 110 selections (75.45%) Would be good if I could get that percentage up towards 80%! :eek:
