..... another of those games which appears to go the wrong way when you wish otherwise. This one left the home team making a decent account of themselves but fail in their attempt to get the better of the opposition. It finished 1-1. So we lose £5.26 and the new total becomes £450.11. …. no luck with York City who were clearly not up to the task of seeing off a lowly cobblers side. Northampton led for best part of the time with City scraping a 1-1 draw. We offset this with a 2-1 victory from São Paulo the Brazilian outfit with goals arriving 20 and 70 minutes for the home side and a reply from the visitors after 39 minutes. So we lose £7.81 with York and win a fiver with São Paulo making a net loss of £2.81 and the overall total now £447.30. ….. after what proved to be a hard fought match, our selection netted what proved to be the winner when they slotted in a nice goal on the 72 nd minute. Looked to be fought out pretty evenly as some of these lowly sides often put up sheer resistance. So we bank the fiver and the new total becomes £452.30. ….. two results to report today and happy to report that they were both winning selections. East Kilbride made hard work of disposing of Kelty Hearts after they led then allowed Kelly to come back with an equaliser. It was not until the first minute of added time that they grabbed the winner and go through to the next round. Tapatio the Mexican side rendered a much better performance to enhance our trust in the selection. They never looked in danger and cantered though to a 4-1 victory. So we bank the tenner for the two victories and the new total becomes £462.30. …. two results today. Dinamo Bucharest got us off to a great start when they secured a 2-0 victory after a fairly tight first half. Not so good with our visit to Japan where our selection went down tamely 3-1 to a Nagoya side who had not won in five away matches and only scored three goals in the process. So we win a fiver with the Romanian side and lose £7.81 in Japan to make a net loss of £2.81. The new total becomes £464.49.
