how can i sen i PM on these forums?

Sorry mate but you keep going to a subject that isn't concomitant with this one, I will let long run long run speak for himself with regards to pm but my point was simply that being a member of as many forums as might suit one is perfectly fine, this is not to say that due respect should be shown to the owners but this has nothing to do with blogs and sanctums. I would be surprised if some if not most members on here didn't also look at other forums and what's wrong with that.

T tacker while matters do appear to have gone a little off topic Re the thread title i think it can be a positive to air and share views on connected topics. ?

I do not see why PMs are necessary. The point of a forum is to share thoughts and ideas, how can that be done through using PMs?

Sorry I cannot agree(I have used them as you know) with that there are simply some stuff or contacts that you might want to have off public screen - I agree that most things are should be broadcastable but there will always be something that is not. Not looking for any agreement or argument just stating that for established members the option should be available - after all no one forces another to reply and the option is there for it to be turned of even emails can be automatically consigned to the junk or blocked - I have had to to that one in the past but not a problem.

Of course it is, no arguement from me on that but I don't think its right for other forum owners to come on here and PM my members trying to get them join their forum.

Hi ArkRoyal ArkRoyal
You may know something that the rest of us don't but if you think that is what long run long run was doing then he must answer for himself , pms are a good way of avoiding conflict at times but in any case we all know the forums that are out there.

Nothing wrong with being a member of other forums. I object when they are fairly new members and want to change the boundaries that have been put in place on this Forum or seem hell bent on causing an argument.

Still it is good for boosting the number of posts and increases traffic to this Forum

Jack of all master of none.? I post on the J4P forum and perhaps once a month have a look at the BF one. What am i missing.?

If anyone desperately needs to contact another member 'off forum', then I suggest if they post a request to myself or ArkRoyal ArkRoyal then we can start a conversation for them. Please be aware though that as the pm instigator, we will be able to see the conversation and all replies.

if only this thread had half of the action of this one

long run long run
My limited knowledge of how the forum works is second to none but if you simply ask the person you want to pm to pm you then you will be able to answer him back, I presume this would be in private. If the person chooses not to answer with a pm then at least you will know where you stand.
