Snooker

This is not good, the best player in last years World Championships reduced to a husk, hope he come back from whatever he has got going on , hard to watch.
Very sad to see. It has to be a frustratung game and many players have been in the depths in the past. Certainly the black in the semi final must go through his mind constantly. Hopefully his friends can help him through this even if it's just a break from the game or sort out any personla matters. Not good to see in anyone.

Last 16 today and after today becomes best of 11 which should make it easier for the higher ranked players.

Only 2 top 16 left after Higgins went out to one of the players of the season, double ranking event winner, Jak Jones.

These the official ranking and mine and at the end the season iffucual rankings of the last 16. Brown and Donaldson needed the points to help their end of seson tour survival chances as outside the top 64 before this event so they are going well, Brown with home advantage. Craigie and Baranowski also trying to preserve their card at end of season though with advantage of no points to be deducted for previous performances.

Some big opportunities for players to make their firs final or win the event.

Can't enter in usual format.

Quarter finals and best of 11 now favours the stronger players with intervals. Most of the higher ranked players won yesterday.

A North East clash between Slessor and Craigie today. With Williams and Wilson the favourites though Jak Jones and Dave Gilbert sontinue thir excellent seasons.
