The website and standard rime calculators just used logic from excel sheets I already designed and took them to another level, the scrapers is just point it in the right direction where to find stuff you want and AI is superb at scraping using python , especially if you show it exactly where to get stuff and how to format it.

That's amazing, O Outlander. May I ask your starting point. Were you already adept at vba coding for example, or did you start using python with no previous coding skills?

No just asked chat gpt to do it for me, showed it my excel sheets , or showed it where to get data and it did what I asked. If you have AI and an idea you can get it to do anything I reckon , if you have excel sheets show them and ask them can they improve them or turn them into a website/app, if you want data show it where you can get it and ask it to scrape it.

Was actually going to message you the other day to offer up some raw data when i seen you telling T tacker you were thinking of venturing back into the UK/IRE, had an image of you pressing that download button on HRB 365 times to get a years results lol

lmao That’s exactly what i did I pressed it 365 x 10 years !!!, I wanted the yards and the rail move, I hadn’t scraped anything apart from the bottom of the barrel at that stage , since then scraped the sectionals and raceIQ to match up with HRB results, still haven’t done anything with it .
my standard time calculator is a work of art imo , when I get all the data together will link it with sectionals and into them in the standard time calculator, I think it’s the best thing I’ve done. Ireland is another matter because I don’t know the default distances and they report distance instead of default distance and rail move in UK, if I unravel it and establish reliable default distances for IRE my standard time calculator will make short work of the times.

Thanks again, O Outlander. I've tried chat pgt and since my last post it has already created a potential website for my novels (so far I have published them on Wattpad but would like my own in addition). So far it has been really straightforward.
