Can someone help me with some advice

Newbie
I recently opened up an account with betfred, one day I made a lot of 30 deposits that my bank decided to stop me depositing into betfred until the next day. So I tried to deposit into the betfred account with my girlfriends debit card(using her own name also), to which my surprise deposited successfully, I then made a further 5 deposits using her card, then made a withdrawal onto my own card in my own name, which never went Through, betfred then closed my account, and now saying they will be keeping the funds because I used someone else’s card? Do I have a leg to stand on here getting my money from them? Why would they let me make 6 deposits with someone else card if they knew it was wrong and against their terms?

But wouldnt
You have basically breached their terms and conditions but notice there was no "check" at their end to make sure it was YOUR card.
That’s what I was thinking, why was there no checks or response from the first deposit? As far as I was concerned it was ok in there terms as I was able to make upto 6 deposits and then bet as usual. It was only when I’ve made a withdrawal to my own card, an hour later my account was locked?

Customer services have said that there checks are manually responded to? So does that mean they would of just let me keep depositing until I made a withdrawal? I know quite well what they have done is wrong, but how’s the best way to take action against them?

I think it may be due to the Money Laundering rules
Customer service just mentioned something about money laundering rules, but the deposit from my girlfriends card only amounted to £85? And the withdrawal was £275 which I won from playing with the deposits, not really money laundering is it?

Not from your view point but I have read where banks have frozen accounts of People who have not been laundering and will not give answers why, while they in investigate and it as taken weeks to sort out that no money laundering has taken place. At least you don’t have that problem.

With regards book makers they tend to make their own rules to suit them. They should at least return your stake money on the bets that have now been voided

depositing multiple times in one day ….bookies computer says yes
assuming multiple losses in one day….bookies computer says yes
registering card in someone else’s name…bookies computer says yes
depositing on someone else‘s card….bookies computer say yes
betting with money from someone else’s card…bookies computer says yes
withdrawing money won…ALERT!..ALERT!…bookies computer say NO !
EXTERMINATE ….EXTERMINATE…EXTERMINATE ACCOUNT.
RED SIRENS ALL OVER THE TRADING ROOM
Funny isn’t it
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

If your Girlfriend contacts Betfred and tells them you used her debit card without her knowledge they should return the deposited funds (on her debit card)...you have zero chance of getting paid on the winning bets...they have closed the account so you have nothing to lose by getting her to say you used her debit card without her permission.
If you have any other betting accounts I would suggest you set yourself deposit and loss limits on a daily ,weekly and monthly basis on all accounts you have. This may make you want to kick the cat (or dog) but will save you from making deposits to
chase losses.
I noticed that you are only 28 years old so why not consider taking a break from betting and investing some time into reading and asking questions on this forum which (at the very least) will teach you that betting is the toughest game in town.

Morning nicksar nicksar - Is that not tantamount to being classed as “ stealing “ ? - not sure that’s a good Idea they could ( Possibly should ) pass that info to the police - I can see the logic but I don’t know how you present that info and remain this side of the law.
What you don’t want to do is have a third party classed as a Gambler or as complicit to money laundering. Not expert in “immediate action “ my own experience is that they eventually( they all make you wait ) returned monies and shut me out.
Best bet ? report the the issue to the ombudsman and in future stick only to the tote or exchanges in future.
Listen the Barstewards post Cheltenham podcast from last Sunday they have similar problem / conversation this week.

The police wouldn't be interested Mark and in the unlikely event that they were all his girlfriend would need to do is not press charges.

Well they should be - I will bow to the others experiences - but whenever I fall foul of them it’s seems to be the full book thrown at me
Well if its the MET they prob think your Gay or of Foreign origins. During my youth i had some unhappy experiences with the Police although with hindsight this was mostly down to problems of my own making. Current times they do appear to be losing the trust and support of the public, to my mind there is a solution more uniformed officers walking the beat, and doing so everywhere frequently.

I would ask why is this not happening when the majority of the public want it to, but i would prob get arrested. I can well imagine my futile defence .........look mate i was born in Newham live in Essex and i don't do blokes. ! TASER - :violence-rocket:

Yep i get this as a country we are not good at maintaining happy mediums, and aspects of this Political Correctness have now gone way OTT and do my nut in. ! But then again so do current times Bookmaker practices and attitudes.

Getting of topic here , our local " Power MAYOR " recently announced additional funds of think it was millions to fund another extra 9 PC's - drop in the ocean every cars pass at 90 miles per hour leaving a trail of cannabis smoke and trash thrown from vehicles - don't get me on about double parking and petty crime ( although none MOT - No Insurance etc are not petty) - what happened to zero attitude to crime - country is taking a serious head dive into a state criminality where the only prosecutable persons are traditional thinking Brits - rant over I hope No Said Freds do the right thing and return monies owed , but as nicksar nicksar points out if your model is broke, then fix it. There are thousands of google replies about how to avoid bookies restrictions but in truth there are virtually none that most punters can employ.

If you lose money - you don't have to try win it back in the same way
