I understand all you have said.

It may take months and who knows years (I don't know the different types of criteria Admin use to grant access)for some to get into the IS.
There are those who may not have patience to wait, and as I said more importantly there are those who may feel excluded.

I feel if newbies had a place where they were all in the same boat, I feel fewer newbies would jump ship.

As you said when you made green you felt you had made it....flip that on the other side of a newbie who hasn't....
