• Hi Guest, The forum will be moving hosts on 26 July and as such will be closed from Midday until the move has completed.
As we will be with new hosts it may take a while before DNS get updated so it could take while before you can get back on the forum.
I think it will take at least 4 hours but could easily be 48!

  • There seems to be a problem with some alerts not being emailed to members. I have told the hosts and they are investigating.

  • Sorry for the ongoing issues that you may have been experiencing whilst using the forum lately

It really is frustrating when the forum slows down or Server Error 500 pops up.

Apparently the hosts acknowledge there is a problem.
Thank you for using our services and sorry for the experienced delay!
Unfortunately, these errors are due to a higher server load. Our senior department knows about the issue and they are working towards a permanent resolution of the issue, however, I'd advise you to consider using our new cPanel cloud solutions: https://www.tsohost.com/web-hosting

I will have to investigate what the differences are with what We have know compared to the alternative service they want us to migrate to.
    Keep safe.

VDW and consistency .Take 3.

Morning everyone.
The only race on my radar today was the Prince of Wales .
My selection would have been Lord North who I've just discovered is a n/r due to the going .The reason I was going to back him was due to the disparity in the early morning prices offered by the bookie's. Practically every firm was going 9/4 with the notable exception of Ladbrokes who were 13/8. Given the supposed connection with the O'Brien stable I considered that to be significant. That leaves Love as the likeliest winner as she was unbeaten in 3 starts last season, all at group 1 level. However given the modest amounts I bet to ,odds on shots don't appeal .Good luck to you all if you play today.

From what I hear and read none of major firms are interested in taking big bets on horse racing anymore so it's possibly not as significant as it was previously when Ladbrokes were short with one ? Maybe they reasoned it wouldn't run and put it at 13/8 to have a bigger rule 4 when it was declared a non runner ?

Good point, all I was trying to point out that given Ladbrokes connection with the O'Brien stable perhaps they had the "inside word" that Love might not be 100% ready to rock and roll, hence the notably shorter price on Lord North.
