• Hi Guest, The forum will be moving hosts on 26 July and as such will be closed from Midday until the move has completed.
As we will be with new hosts it may take a while before DNS get updated so it could take while before you can get back on the forum.
I think it will take at least 4 hours but could easily be 48!

  • There seems to be a problem with some alerts not being emailed to members. I have told the hosts and they are investigating.
  • Hi Guest Just in case you were not aware I wanted to highlight that you can now get a 20% discount on Inform Racing.
Simply enter the coupon code ukbettingform when subscribing here.
We have a lot of members who are existing users of Inform Racing so help is always available if needed.
    Best Wishes
  • Sorry for the ongoing issues that you may have been experiencing whilst using the forum lately

It really is frustrating when the forum slows down or Server Error 500 pops up.

Apparently the hosts acknowledge there is a problem.
Thank you for using our services and sorry for the experienced delay!
Unfortunately, these errors are due to a higher server load. Our senior department knows about the issue and they are working towards a permanent resolution of the issue, however, I'd advise you to consider using our new cPanel cloud solutions: https://www.tsohost.com/web-hosting

I will have to investigate what the differences are with what We have know compared to the alternative service they want us to migrate to.
    Keep safe.

Using the Dig Function in HRB

open the system builder4

click the add button

scroll to the very bottom of the filters...tick tomorrows data..then tick horses

then choose breakdown

click the horse button

this will give all tomorrows runners in alphabetic order with the calculated options you have chosen in your settings.

choose data.JPGstep 2.JPGstep3.JPG

If you set up a system for all the available place stats with similiar filters to the example, you come up with selections like these
Then you can look each race re number of alerts per horse and number of runners in the race, odds etc.

Before the age of the internet, I used to do a system where the last RPR gained was at a longer distance than the horse is racing at today, great for finding placepot selection back in the late 80’s early 90’s, don’t know if it would work today, there was more to it but can’t remember the all the rules

new feature on hrb

The data on the left is the last 10 runs of each horse available pre race ..the running comments on the right are added about half an hour after
the race. Very useful to use in conjunction with the post race video replays

pre race symbols
TABLE KEY. FR = Front Runner. P = Prominent. TC = Tracked/Chased. MD = Mid Division. HU = Held Up. PS = Poor Start

So for all the Place Stats ideas......you've taken and extended these out from the Stat Attack feature on HRB......would that be right?

This feature has no connection with place stats..its totally done by Chris on Hrb.If you subscribe Hrb,I can point out where to find it. Its
currently still being developed.

choose MY HRB on the main page

then choose run comments

then choose option 3

The columns on the left should help visualise how the race will be run.The comments on the right plus the video will show
you what actually happened. Perhaps you will notice a change in riding tactics from previous races..this is just an example.

The most frequent pieces of advice given by "pro" punters are 1.specialise in some type of race 2.watch and rewatch race replays.
3.makes notes as you watch and use a horse tracker..preferably one that alerts you at the entry stage..5 days ahead.

Specialising cuts down the work load and gives you time to go into detail.

My apologies ardnehue ardnehue I didn't make myself clear. I have not looked in here recently and did not note the post dates.
I was referring to your post #24
It doesn't matter anyway, as I know that they are. I've done similar myself.

If you subscribe Hrb,
I find that a bit odd......lol

Hi ardnehue ardnehue

I think the difference is that Chris HRB listens to the suggestions that Subscribers request and PP seems to either dismiss or thinks he knows best. I have a lot of time for your good self and JTH on FS ,but imagine what JTH could do with HRB. Especially s he likes Bumper Races. I hvez emailed him in the past to her in him to join in this forum and he is a natural person to be greened up quickly. My one regret is that I don’t get to interact with JTH lord Lewis or Dylan Etc. At least Grand Lodge is a Greened up member.

I can understand you staying loyal to PP, but unless he changes will eventually go under.
