US Racing Tips

All A ticket - 4,5,7-3,4,7,8-1,7-6,-3,7 = 48 Dollars
3as 1b = 1,3-3,4,7,8-1,7-6-3,7 =32 Dollars
3as 1b = 4,5,7-3,4,7,8-4-6-3,7 = 24 Dollars
and so on but reached my bet limit there

Leg 3 I got right. I was against the 2 favs. 14/1 shot wins (uk) prices and ive recovered all my pick 5 money and in front now on the night. Shame I messed up leg 2 - the 5s only win was on sloppy - i didnt adjust my ticket in time.

All the picks are above and posted in plenty of time. This morning. But next up race 4 the 3 is 60s on betfair and its pedigree is v good. worth a few quid.

Racing at Aquaduct, Keenland and Santa Anita this weekend all provided Grade 1 action in build up to the Kentucky Derby Meet.

I thought i would take a look at this action and try and find some possible angles in. Its not my 'normal' way of analysing a race as your looking at one or 2 races per horse in which to analyse, some stats angles to research and the tapes of course.

Aquaduct The Grade 2 Wood Memorial Stakes

Stepping up from allowance company is Prevalence - has a slow figure with big expectations. Maybe he wasn't fully revved up with a conservative approach going for an easy allowance race.
Crowded Trade - 3/1 Went extremely well in The Gotham that was a nice performance and he had no problem with that step up in class.

Brooklyn Strong 11/2 is coming in with a big layoff but that race he won (The Remsen) LTO in third was Known Agenda. Known Agenda has since gone on to win twice including last weeks Florida Derby. I will make this my pick.

Keeneland 11.35pm - Grade 2 Bluegrass Stakes

Essential Quality 4/7 - Brad Cox thinks this will prefer further and has said previously that this is his Belmont horse. Hes trained on.
Highly Motivated 7/2 -Last race not an easy trip was on the outside where you wanted to be on the inside. The speed figure was fast and you can see this one running much faster with a better trip.

One of these 2 will win EQ 2pts HM 1pt.

Keeneland Ashland stakes (10.30pm)-

Pass The Champagne- 5/1 With George weaver for 5 weeks Big step up with opposition in Simply Ravishing and Malathaat but both of those are coming in with 100 day + layoff. The first 3 get to Qualify for the Kentucky Oaks PTC - Excellent speed figure- numbers says she fits.

Santa Anita 00:15 - Santa Anita Derby Race 8

Most likely is Medina Spirit 13/8 is faster and has grit hes my pick. Two at bigger prices worth a mention are:

Law Professor 16/1 - is improving under McCarthy and McCarthy keeps them improving.

Back Ring Luck - 66/1 Ran really well at Oaklawn trained by W Cahoun now John Sadler. Sadler has improved a horse up from Chad Brown so hes interesting.

Going back to the Ashland Pass The Champagne 5/1 is my Nap of the weekend. Jonathon Kitchen (US analyst) has an inside track on this horse. He likes it alot and thats good enough for me.
Stat attack- Last 5 years have Kenneth McPeek and Todd Pletcher have not had horses who've run in graded stakes races with this kind of break. Its not something they typically do.

update on prices Chanpagne looks a nice price. Medina is too short. Law professor nice price and I wasn’t expecting back ring luck to be the rag.
