Hi All,

Before the tournament started I had a 10 point bet on Ronaldo Golden Boot and Italy outright winners of the tournament . I got 125/1.

Not being a usual better, I was just wondering if there was any way to guarantee a profit before my heart gives out?

Good picks. You can lay the double on Betfair if you want to guarantee a profit, lay odds of 5.6 for the above double on exchange, though not much liquidity.
 
Hi L Leej . There is not a lot of money waiting to be matched at those prices, I think there is £3 at 5.6 and £2 at 5.8 or something like that. If you want to lay bigger amounts then you might have to do it at bigger prices.
 
Fingers crossed for you LeeJ, there are a few breathing down Ronaldo’s neck, and for the eventual finalists there are three games to play so looking for a cover is exactly what I would do. Will watch with interest.
 
Thanks Tonto - To be honest I just don't get the exchange stuff. Now that we're onto the Semis it just feels like there must be a way that I can bet on the others and accrue a healthy profit?
 
You could try covering different combinations but I think it would be too complicated. Easiest option would have been to lay on the exchange, but now the lay price has drifted out to 9.8 after yesterday’s results. Also, Patrik Schick Of Czech Republic is now on same number of goals as Ronaldo, I am not sure what dead heat rules are for this market but you might not get the full amount even if the bet comes in. I wish you best of luck with your bet, I hope it comes in for you or you can find a way to secure a profit from it.
 
On Betfair they use normal dead heat rules so if placed them bet with them then you would lose half your stake and win with the other half, assuming no one else gets 5 or more. Who did you place the bet with and do they use assists in the case of a dead heat?
 
The rules are:-

If the amount of goals scored is a tie, the winner will be the one who has the most assists, if it is still a tie then the winner will be the one who has scored the goal in the fewest minutes:=

Ronaldo - 5goals - 1 assist - 391 minutes
Schick - 5goals - 0 assists - Is out
Sterling - 3goals - 1 assist - 413minutes
Kane 3 goals - o assist - 420 minutes.
 
I would place a bet on England - Kane 10/1 and Italy - Kane 28/1
Kane should of had a hat trick the other night. His volley with his weak foot showing what goals do for strikers confidence, all this after barely having a shot on target all group stage. He’s hitting form at the right time and he hits the penalties.

125 looks good ( bit of an uderstatment ) well done for spotting the potential - we were poor last night - every one is saying what a difficult team the Danes are to play ? - the Italians will be harder - can you get odds on the number of the times the both teams try to cheat the ref or for time spent sprawling and play acting - England might just win that one, we have caught the sprawling virus .
