• Hi Guest, The forum will be moving hosts on 26 July and as such will be closed from Midday until the move has completed.
As we will be with new hosts it may take a while before DNS get updated so it could take while before you can get back on the forum.
I think it will take at least 4 hours but could easily be 48!

  • There seems to be a problem with some alerts not being emailed to members. I have told the hosts and they are investigating.

  • Sorry for the ongoing issues that you may have been experiencing whilst using the forum lately

It really is frustrating when the forum slows down or Server Error 500 pops up.

Apparently the hosts acknowledge there is a problem.
Thank you for using our services and sorry for the experienced delay!
Unfortunately, these errors are due to a higher server load. Our senior department knows about the issue and they are working towards a permanent resolution of the issue, however, I'd advise you to consider using our new cPanel cloud solutions: https://www.tsohost.com/web-hosting

I will have to investigate what the differences are with what We have know compared to the alternative service they want us to migrate to.
    Keep safe.

Been quite for a while and this was due to getting some sad news about a young work colleague aged 21 that had a silly accident just over a week ago falling over after tripping up in the street and hitting his head on the road, tragically he died.
He had only been working with us for a few months but made a good impression on all of us and when we were on nights we would sit and chat together.
To say it was a shock to hear the news is an understatement which to be honest has surprised me as I don’t usually get close to the young workers as they don’t normally stay for long due to the fact it can be hard work at times but this young man thrived on it.
So, trying to get back to normality here is todays cards

SteveT SteveT so sorry to read your above. Never good under any circumstances but the younger the person the bigger the shock. Talking of which i have just been reading about the current India - Covid situation where thousands of young people are now dying and the situation appears critical. I guess being British is not so bad after all. !

Hi mick mick so true, we are lucky seems like there are a few countries in the same boat around the world.
Because the lad had only just returned to work after his granddad passing away a few weeks earlier we all made the extra effort to keep his spirits up and look out for him when he came back.
Then a simple thing like stumbling and falling normally you would not expect to end in a death, but it just goes to show how fragile life really is.

..... hi there Steve. I'm really sorry also to hear of the passing of your friend under such tragic circumstances and to a simple stumble. makes one wonder how fragile life can be and to be here one minute and gone the next. I do hope that you and your colleagues get back to some form of normality sooner than later, and wish you all the very best under difficult circumstances. ;)
