Northern Surprise wins at 20/1 in the Dundalk 5.30. I got 33s. 40s was available elsewhere.

Still have Alhaijaj in the Dundalk 8.0 for a possible double in that series of bets.

Earlier, Star Ascending (Wolves 4.35) was 3rd at 25/1. Held hard for far too long. If unleashed earlier would have won.

I should be doing the win/place singles on Betfair. These prices are Betfred. You can get better prices elsewhere - 16s for the two at 14s, 80s for Madame Anna, 28s for Gentleman Moore, 20s for Telegraph Place, 33s for Daliyan.

In addition to e/w singles am doing win doubles and trebles at 1/10th of the full singles unit stakes.

There will be blank days with these, but I don't care as long as I hit a consistent overall minimum 5% win SR.

This time at 1/5th of win stakes, wlda been 1/10th of full singles stakes if I'd done the e/w. Cld be a bonanza day, we live in hope. I reckon I should get a win treble up once a month.

Archimedes only a disappointing 10.86 win at BSP. 4.06 place.

Winners at 33/1, 16/1, 14/1 (as stated, 18s available elsewhere for that one). Betfair SP win prices: 44, 40.36, 10.81. BSP place prices 6.77, 6.0, 4.06.

Placer: 3rd at 25/1. BSP place 6.77.

E/w singles and win doubles and trebles at 1/4 full singles unit stakes. Because there are so many trebles I've reduced the amount put on singles, which is stupid, but I do not want to spend the rest of my days kicking myself for missing a win treble at these prices.

Earlier, Chocolate Box got second, but a big R4 cos the odds-on fav was a n/r.

That was also the price I got, but 66/1 was available elsewhere.

dave58: It's still an experiment, but I'm backing them as shown. Overall the best strategy would undoubtedly be to do 'em at Betfair SP. It's the occasional results like getting 40 or more for a 16/1 winner that makes all the difference. There's a profit on the BSP places too overall, and I'd do those, but the shrewdies with steel cojones would probably stick to win only.

Easy to work out p/l from the results shown above. I do intend to update that occasionally.


Today's Betfair SPs: The winner was win 7.75, place 2.77.

The 3 placers were 2.64, 5.8, 14.64.
