• Hi Guest, The forum will be moving hosts on 26 July and as such will be closed from Midday until the move has completed.
As we will be with new hosts it may take a while before DNS get updated so it could take while before you can get back on the forum.
I think it will take at least 4 hours but could easily be 48!

  • Sorry for the ongoing issues that you may have been experiencing whilst using the forum lately

It really is frustrating when the forum slows down or Server Error 500 pops up.

Apparently the hosts acknowledge there is a problem.
Thank you for using our services and sorry for the experienced delay!
Unfortunately, these errors are due to a higher server load. Our senior department knows about the issue and they are working towards a permanent resolution of the issue, however, I'd advise you to consider using our new cPanel cloud solutions: https://www.tsohost.com/web-hosting

I will have to investigate what the differences are with what We have know compared to the alternative service they want us to migrate to.
    Keep safe.

Problem gambling

Join today after boxing day 2020.
Just want to say how stupid you feel when you up by £2500 on slots and gamble everything away in 12 hours.
I've joined a betred 2 days ago deposited £100 in 5 minutes I'm up by a £1000. Nice if you take it and withdraw BUT existed carry on lost that then another £1700 chasing that win. What a twat can't believe to myself. Learn from this mistake

My sympathies - to be honest I can't imagine putting money into a slot machine, simply because I know they are wired to produce a set return - in effect you can win if you are lucky quickly, and stop before the built in house edge kicks in. The longer you play the more certain you are to lose, and there's very little opportunity to shade odds with any form of skilled input. Nightmare scenario, shouldn't be legal in my view.

I am sorry to read about your problem. Not only have I seen other people go through, but I myself have gone through this in past so I feel your pain. Well done on admitting the problem though as not everyone can do it.

My advice would be to stop playing these slots/roulette kind of games completely if you can. Bookies/Casinos have a fixed percentage on these games of 3% or something like that. Because it’s a low percentage, it is quite easy for the gambler to be ahead in short term and fall into false sense of being able to win on these games. That is one of the reasons these games are so addictive, but remember that the house is taking a small percentage with every spin and if you play for long enough then ultimately you will lose your whole bank, there are no two ways about it. It is mathematically impossible to win long term on these games. So again my advice is to not play them at all, but I know that can be easier said than done so if you can’t stop completely, set a deposit limit on your account at least. Decide on amount you feel you will be comfortable losing and set your limit to a fraction of that. I only bet on sports and am fairly disciplined, but still I have deposit limits as I know how easy it is to slip up in gambling. And don’t wait till tomorrow to either exclude yourself or set a deposit limit, do it today while you are still hurting from your loss.

Anyone can make mistakes, but it’s good if you learn from them. All the best.

Makes my blood boil, the very same companies that won’t let you put on more than 36pence on a horse if their algorithms say you might win money from them, it’s very clear, if you can win they won’t let you bet, if they let you bet you can’t win, everyone should know this , the shysters should be made to put these exact words as a warning on screen before every bet you place as a condition of their license. Addiction is real it’s a very strong force, I can tell you A Al5544 from just one paragraph of your introduction no good will ever come from gambling for you my friend and if you can possibly stop, then stop now. If you are able to place a few pounds you don’t need for entertainment knowing the whole game is rigged against you ever winning then carry on, but if you are liable to bet as you describe in your introduction please stop.

That session really wiped my bank account clean. I've been so disciplined for most of this year not even gambled for few first months of pandemic. But most of the years when it comes closer to autumn winter time I don't know why I become incredibly lucky on any form of gambling it's like a six sense. Same as this year I've started with a couple of hundred then hit a grand withdrawn and do a little stakes there and there. But that sense of oh maybe I can hit a huge one like you see on YouTube keep drilling your brain like a worm. This year I've got my biggest multiplyers over a X1000 on £2 stake what a dream for anyone. But the greed kicks in and it's not enough try for bigger.
My favourite is simple football accumulater when you choose 5-6 teams to win or loose or draw and from a £10-20 can get a good couple of hundred or more.
From now on deposit limit set and more safer gambling for sure.

I read that during these lock downs the incidents of on line problem gambling have increased. We know the virus has killed people and we know how many, but a lesser known stat is that an average of one person per day now takes there own life because of gambling. You do not see the Bookmakers who have actively encouraged such customers to continue speaking of this.

The upside is a growing public awareness and an increase in the professional help available. As a life long bettor of horses my gambling problem is i do not bet as often as i should, but perhaps i should also feel pleased about this.!

@AI5544 if you usually just do football bets try to find some online bookmakers that allow you to "exclude" from the slots & casino aspect of the sites...they are are as rare as rocking horse shit (for a reason) but they do exist.
I am long past feeling wound up concerning this, but one of the biggest insults is when you are restricted to pennies at the price for horse racing but are then informed " But as a valued customer you are welcome to use our Casino facilities ".

Good advice. I think you can do that with most online bookies now (I know a couple for sure with Betfair and Coral you can do it), but I recall few years ago one of the bookies (can’t remember which one) would not let me exclude myself from just the casino section, I had to either keep all of it or exclude from everything.

They are now running scared because of the current Gov review which has been forced by the increased media attention being given to problem gambling. Well used to getting and buying there own way I think it came as a shock when they lost the Shop FOBT battle but the on line one has only just begun.

Back in the day we used to call them The Old Enemy and this was not intended as derogatory, but these days there restrictions on many customers and deceitful T&Cs to name just two of several reasons have made them the real enemy end of. There are still a few honorable and trustworthy independents operating and its a shame that they are now tared with the same brush.

Government loves the taxes from this rip off bustards. They should ban all the offshore companies just because they don't pay enough. Ladbrokes is one of them .
If anyone read reviews of customers about this companys there are awful.
Funds being frozen accounts closed just due to that fact that you won and they don't want to pay you if they can find any excuse or delay for as long as possible so they get interest on they revenue. Massive scam artists. Gambling it's like swimming with sharks can be fascinating or can lose your head life.

Funds being frozen .
This tactic is on the increase but often part of the thinking behind delaying withdrawal requests for selected customers is that they hope the person will become so frustrated with the intrusive information demanded that they will start betting with the funds and lose it all back.

It’s totally unbelievable what these companies can get away with under a license, they will probably pester you on a daily basis now you have lost 2k on the casino, desperate for you to give them thousands more .

To some extent it is punter apathy which enables these poor practices to continue. A forlorn hope i know but a national punters strike would provoke some much needed change and lets be honest probably save many of us money during the process. Such a win - win situation is rare for us punters so why is it not occurring.?

One good thing is Gamstop and other charities managed to put enough pressure on government that they banned reverse withdrawals.
But what happened to me a few weeks ago is outrageous.
I've registered with potsofluck as I've runout of good websites to gamble due my self exclusion from most of them about few dozens. Lost few hundred then hit a good one over a grand. Withdrawal request. Immediately they asking me for a lod of documents statements selfy with bank card and others. I've provided everything as requested. 5 working days no reply . Customer service is escalating to another department ok. 7 working days I'm kicking off a bit with email and live chat. Email saying my account fully verified now. Where's my payment I'm asking them? Live chat: it's with payment department you will get email a.s. a.p.
9 working days till no news I'm gambling on slots with about £200 balance then my balance jumps by £1000 . I'm like wtf? Did I win or what? Checked in history no chance. Live chat : they saying oh we refunded you withdrawal back into your account due to glitz on the system. I'm saying : Do you know it's illegal in uk to reverse withdrawals? They did not like that and being assy with me but did process my new withdrawal as I nearly lost it all again.
Thinking to make a complaint against them as I've read in reviews they done it to a lot of people same and even worse things
