• Hi Guest, The forum will be moving hosts on 26 July and as such will be closed from Midday until the move has completed.
As we will be with new hosts it may take a while before DNS get updated so it could take while before you can get back on the forum.
I think it will take at least 4 hours but could easily be 48!

  • Sorry for the ongoing issues that you may have been experiencing whilst using the forum lately

It really is frustrating when the forum slows down or Server Error 500 pops up.

Apparently the hosts acknowledge there is a problem.
Thank you for using our services and sorry for the experienced delay!
Unfortunately, these errors are due to a higher server load. Our senior department knows about the issue and they are working towards a permanent resolution of the issue, however, I'd advise you to consider using our new cPanel cloud solutions: https://www.tsohost.com/web-hosting

I will have to investigate what the differences are with what We have know compared to the alternative service they want us to migrate to.
    Keep safe.

Newcastle (going forecast standard to slow) RP Spotlight selects Victoriano (6 pundits agree 7 oppose)
3.45 Market expected 09.50* no's 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 indicating an open contest. Theoretical strong fav 2/1, possible contender 4/1 to 8/1, not expected longer than 8/1.

1*. 46 = 5/1 my rating fair odds (5/1 mkt) Chipiron. LTO 8, +7lbs, =cls, same jock. LTO 3/10 -9 1/2L? stayed on not clear run went 3rd no match for first two?
2*. 26 = 10/1 (15/2)
3*. 59 = 7/2 (10/3) Lord Torronaga 4 tips (BF). LTO 14, +8lbs, =cls, R Sexton (7). 2/12 -3/4L* chased went 2nd pressed kept on always held.
4. 0 = ? (14/1)
5*. 9 = 28/1 (5/1) (Stockbridge Tap )
6*. 81 = 95/40 (11/4) Victoriano 7 tips (C&D). LTO 18, -8lbs, +1cls? B Robinson. 1/7 +1/2L*ridden headway led always doing enough.
7. 34 = 7/1 (22/1)
8. 12 = 22/1 (12/1)
9. 11 = 25/1 (14/1)

Comment: Feature race of a low-grade card so form possibly inconsistent? Dutch Victoriano and Torronaga for me, with the first up in class and the latter with a 7lb claimer that looks like trying to ease the weight.

ATR form verdict for comparison.
Victoriano was a game performer when scoring over this C&D last month and he warrants respect off a 1lb higher mark. However, a chance is taken on STOCKBRIDGE TAP who shaped with promise on his seasonal return and he is now having his second run after wind surgery. Furthermore the son of Nayef could have untapped potential at this longer trip and he can make his presence felt back into handicap company. Chipiron also makes the shortlist if building on his recent third-placed effort at Wolverhampton.
Top Tip: STOCKBRIDGE TAP (5)
Watch out for: VICTORIANO (6)

Market Rasen (going forecast G with some GS scattered showers) RP Spotlight selects Jesuitique ( 6 pundits agree 6 oppose)
1.22 Market expected 10.05* no's 2, 3, 6, 8 indicating a win restricted to these. Theoretical strong fav 7/4, possible contender 7/2 to 7/1, not expected longer than 7/1.

1. 37 = 9/1 my fair odds rating (14/1 mkt)
2*. 30 = 12/1 (13/2)
3*. 64 = 5/1 (6/1) Teescomponent Lad (C&D). LTO 18, +16lbs? =cls, same jck. 2/9 -5L*, ridden went 2nd no match with winner
4. 57 = 11/2 (9/1)
5. 26 = 13/1 (14/1)
6*. 57 = 11/2 (9/2) Thunderstruck 2 tips (BF?). LTO 34, +8lbs, =cls, same jck. 2/6 -1/2L*, drifted left no extra well held finish
7. 15 = 25/1 (12/1)
8*. 90 = 10/3 (11/8) Jesuitique 7 tips. LTO 11, -3lbs, +1cls? same jck. 1/10 +1 1/2L*, headway ridden to challenge led kept on well riddenout*.

Comment: Jesuitique looks well in on paper although up in class and no win at D? Thundertsruck is racing in class and out on a retrieve mission.

ATR form verdict for comparison.
JESUITIQUE has won both starts since joining this yard and he is hard to oppose given that he is 5lb well in today as he does not have to carry a penalty for his victory at Sandown 11 days ago. Thunderstruck has filled second place in both starts since winning at Fontwell in May and he should be in the mix once again this afternoon. Teescomponents Lad edges out Small Present to be the pick of the remainder.
Top Tip: JESUITIQUE (8)
Watch out for: THUNDERSTRUCK (6)

1*. 24+ = 15/1 my fair rating odds (10/1 mkt)
2. 38 = 10/1 (12/1)
3. 30 = 13/1 (11/1)
4. 43 = 9/1 (18/1)
5*. 24 = 16/1 (5/2) (White Moon 2 tips,C2D, C Tizzard/ BJ Powell)
6*. 25+ = 16/1 (10/1)
7*. 66 = 11/2 (4/1) St Erney 3 tips (C&D2). LTO 19*, +5lbs, =cls, same jck. 1/13 +2 3/4L* strong challenge joined leader left clear kept on*.
8. 59 = 6/1 (12/1) Connard 4 tips. LTO 244? -10/bs*, +1cls? C Price (3) today, 2 /5 -6L*, led mistake last headed no extra run in?
9. 31+ = 13/1 (16/1)
10*. 33 = 12/1 (9/1)
11. 47 = 8/1 (16/1) Troed Y Melin (C&D). LTO 45, =1lb, =cls, C Gethings today. 4/6 -35L? mistake ridden lost touch well behind last?

Comment: St Erney on balance or dutch with Connard possibly given the early market?

ATR form verdict for comparison.
ST ERNEY showed a determined attitude to land the spoils over C&D last time out and the 10-year-old gets the nod to repeat that feat off 5lb higher. I See You Well ended his previous campaign with a career-best effort at Plumpton and the Seamus Mullins-trained gelding rates the most immediate danger, while Tea Time On Mars has a good record at this venue and must be respected.
Top Tip: ST ERNEY (7)
Watch out for: I SEE YOU WELL (4)
