The Monte Carlo method is where you double your stake if you lose, it was 1st used on roulette, £10 black, hits red, £20 black, hits red, £40 black, hits red, £80 black, hits black, win. Pretty stupid really, I did it once on the roulette myself but with 0 (zero). It hadn't hit for 256 spins, I started backing it, and only doubled my stakes every several spins, I was hundreds down before if finally hit and only ended up a bit in profit, it was a horrible experience, very stressful and I wouldn't recommend it to be honest.
But I thought I still might try it on the horses, only with good horses I know can win, but only win now and then - back a horse, it loses, next time it runs double your stake, loses, double your stake, hopefully it eventually hits and you win big, and it covers all your previous stakes and makes a profit. But it could always go into a lower class race and go off at shorter odds and ruin it for you, or never win again and you end up loads down.
So yeh, probably a stupid method really, I just wondered if anyone has ever tried it with horses?
