Looking for some sensible musings.

I in the distant past was a reckless gambler chased losses played slots and casino games like Roulette. Did massive bets on big events to try and get back all my losses for 6 months. Never worked and I was a bookies dream. The last few years after a self imposed exile I have become the opposite, look for value, follow tipsters keep stats look for offers stick to staking plans and avail myself of BOG or free bet offers. This has worked the betting is far more fun and I am actually showing signs of being up and winning over the medium to long term.

Bamm just this week got myself restricted and limited at both 888Sport and Sky Bet. Add those to the list - Bet Way, BetVictor and Corals have all banned me or closed my account so a pattern is emerging - they now see I'm not the mug I once was and are shutting me out - not allowing me to win back my losses let alone even be a small time recreational punter who wins or breaks even.

I think it's wrong - it was fine to feed off me when I was a problem gambler but now I'm better I'm booted.

So back to the heading of my post- I feel it's only a matter of time before the rest of my accounts go the same way and get gubbed so before that happens I want to walk away at least even if not up. There's no risk with out reward but I feel like I need to wager everything in each of my accounts on something I feel rock solid about. Do this 2 or 3 times before the hammer falls or maybe doing this makes the hammer stay raised as they feel they can get it all with one bad result. Nothing is a given and there's the risk always of an upset but I been up all night contemplating putting my total balance left in each account I have today on Liverpool (away at Norwich). They are 1/4 on most places but I just don't see them not winning today after a nice rest coming off the winter break they unbeaten in however long and just look so good in games I seen. On the other hand Norwich are well shaky they had a good result earlier in the season against Man City but Liverpool are far better and of late the Canaries form has not been as good as it was to start the season. All in all I feel super confident Liverpool win today and this feeling makes me very very tempted to bet the house... the first of my stands to double my balances - will take 3 or 4 odds on bets like this.

So thoughts?

anybody with the tendency to bet The House , as you put it will lose in the long run , simple as. why not withdraw your money that you have left in your account , place it in an Exchange such as Betfair and continue in your new vain . Patience and Discipline is the key to making a profit long term which is not the same as having a Buzz on a Saturday !! However Liverpool will probably win ....... your choice

Personally I am not an odds on punter who would put my shirt on one selection.
I also don't think there is a dead cert in any sport, as in life all things are unpredictable.

I am not sure how much you are ahead, but if you are ahead of the bookies and you feel it is only a matter of time before they shut you down completely....Then I would do the worst thing you can ever do to them.
Walk away a winner.

Yep Betfair is good and better odds for outsiders unless you put alot on of course i only bet small now for fun, Glad you cured your addiction takes some doing that.

Good Luck!!

Hi @bluelionman i know nothing about football betting but Re horses plenty of Odds on shots get beat. I would say The Uncouth The Uncouth above represents sound advice. Welcome to the forum and cheers for sharing your experiences. Perhaps i am fortunent but i have never experienced your above indeed i could argue that i do not bet as often as i should, and my only gambling problem is the one you are now encountering .......Bookmakers attempting to prevent me from betting.!

To try and see if the Tipsters I follow on the GG's cost me, make me wedge or break even have decided to keep spread sheets for rest of the year see how I go -it does not include all there tips just the ones I actually get on - happy to share in case anyone else is interested but it don't show there ROI properly as I don't do everything just when I see tips in time and not working so I can try and watch races. I tend to do £5 a point or where no point stake is quoted my standard stake is a fiver - though just do £2 on L15's (so £30/£60 depending of just Win or e/w).

With reference to Liverpool, there are a couple of things to take into account. The weather is going to be atrocious. The wind will have a huge factor and will affect the way the ball moves. Did you see the Scotland England rugby game last week? The ball flight was unpredictable. The second point is will the "winter break" have an effect? When you are playing well you want the games to keep coming to take advantage of the momentum and confidence. Do I think Liverpool will win yes I do. Would I put everything I had on it, no i wouldn't as there will be other opportunities in the future that will not have any unknown factors that could cause an upset.

It's almost guaranteed Liverpool will win now as I've all but opted against it as odds is so short and like you say is a few variables and yes thanks for reminding me I did watch the Scotland v England Rugby Union 6 Nations game.

I also had such a story, back in 2010 I caught fire playing slot machines and betting on sports. I was successful and then I lost everything. However, I stood still and did not develop, which led to negative consequences in my life. Now I use and recommend to play free slot machines only for entertainment and I bet very small sums on sport.
