• Hi Guest, The software has been updated but I have not had a chance to tweak anything yet.
It took longer than I had hoped, so I just turned it on and hope everything is OK
If you spot anything that does not look rigfhyt then please let me know.

Longshots - Each Way Betting

7.00 - Kempton.
Oliver's Pursuit 7/1
Betfair fifth the odds.

After a 5 month layoff beaten by only a shd,
Trip, ground, course, grade proven,
Luke Morris rides,
Hoping first time headgear
Works the Oracle.

This race is a Grade 5,
Even though it was a maiden auction race
I like that the horse has contested a Grade 4
And placed second in it last August.

Drawn in 9, I am hoping the very experienced Luke Morris will find a way to overcome that position.
2lbs more on his back than last race.

Barbelo and Gold Brocade are my fears.

LOST LOST LOST LOST LOST

3.20 - Punchestown.
Well Set Up 10/1.
Betfair fifth the odds.

This mare loves this heavy ground,
Won a Grade 3 in December
Just weeks later came 2nd in a Grade 2...
Only narrowly denied 1st place.

Can't be on 8/11 fav Lord Royal
Who hasn't run over 3 miles.
3/1 shot Flouer hasn't either.
The same can be said for Fully Charged
And Run Wild Fred.

I am not worried about the rest of the field.
I feel Well Set Up has the least to prove than most.

This horse in my opinion should not be offered at anywhere near 10/1.
Too big.

4.20 - Punchestown.
Cala Di Volpe 28/1 General odds.
Also taken. 15/1 4 Places.
Betfair fifth the odds.
16/1 6 Places @ B365.

I have looked at the last race this horse ran in,
It was a 2m4F race and seeing it head on it didn't look tired at the end...
It was runnlng on quite nicely, it jumped fine too.
I think it travelled well in that race.

This 2m6F distance I think can eke out improvement.
Soft/Heavy ground not an issue.
On this heavy ground I think the jock taking 7lbs off
Will do nothing but help in the energy zapping ground.

Cala Di Volpe in its last race ran 4th to a Gordon Elliott hotpot,
The horse was called Column of Fire who is now Cheltenham bound.
That horse has strong form with the likes of ElixirD' Ainay and Longhouse Poet.
I think they are very good yardsticks.
I personally don't think there is anything of that quality in today's race.

Pencilfulloflead the fav at 2/5 has not run beyond 2 miles.
Et Dite at 3/1 must also prove itself for the distance.
Despite the connections attached to Osmotic and Vent D'Automne
I feel they have got something to prove, distance included.
Hotel Du Nord also has questions to answer.

Looking at this race there is nothing rock solid that is worthy of its price.
With that said my money is on Cala Di Volpe who I hope will improve.

NON-RUNNER.

3.10 Aljari. 11/1 @ Hills
4 Places - fifth the odds.

This Marco Botti 4 year old is a consistent sort,
After an 81 day break came 2nd in a Class 2
Which today's race is.
Track and trip proven.

This is definitely a competitive affair,
But I feel this horse has more to give,
In its last race in December the 3rd, 5th and 10th
Placed horses have all won since.

Nice low racing weight,
First time blinkers go on,
Good draw in 4,
Red hot jock Andrea Atzeni rides.

LOST.

4.55 - Punchestown
Line Break 12/1. B365
fifth the odds.

On its debut hurdle race I liked the way this horse
Smoothly travelled into the race.... creeping style.
Late in the race a horse fell who I thought
Put my horse off, it had to swerve some trouble.
It then fell.

Today's race is a flat race,
I think we will see a true run from this horse,
Same distance,
This is a bumper race.

In this 12 horse race 9 are debutantes.
This includes the 2 skinny favourites.
I am hoping that today experience counts.
Top jockey takes over today in Mr D O'Connor.
