Can anyone help with a problem my mate has over a horse racing bet please?
He placed a 20p combination forecast with Betfred, He had the winner @ 25-1 and the second @ 7-1, the third horse in the combi forecast was a non runner. He assumed that the bet would become a 60p reversed forecast and settled as so due to the non runner from the £1.20p stake. He was expecting around £108 but Betfred paid him around £40 saying the bet is not settled as a reversed forecast with the whole stake.
I can’t be “exact with the returns” because he was telling me the details over the phone as we live about 50 miles apart and my friend was a bit upset. We’re both pensioners and some might think it a trivial amount but to us it’s a nice amount of money. Thanks for reading and would appreciate any advice. If we are wrong and Betfred are right then so be it.
