• Hi Guest, The forum will be moving hosts on 26 July and as such will be closed from Midday until the move has completed.
As we will be with new hosts it may take a while before DNS get updated so it could take while before you can get back on the forum.
I think it will take at least 4 hours but could easily be 48!

  • There seems to be a problem with some alerts not being emailed to members. I have told the hosts and they are investigating.

  • Sorry for the ongoing issues that you may have been experiencing whilst using the forum lately

It really is frustrating when the forum slows down or Server Error 500 pops up.

Apparently the hosts acknowledge there is a problem.
Thank you for using our services and sorry for the experienced delay!
Unfortunately, these errors are due to a higher server load. Our senior department knows about the issue and they are working towards a permanent resolution of the issue, however, I'd advise you to consider using our new cPanel cloud solutions: https://www.tsohost.com/web-hosting

I will have to investigate what the differences are with what We have know compared to the alternative service they want us to migrate to.
    Keep safe.

As an interesting exercise, I've applied to the 23 races a staking plan which I particular favour, namely, the Retirement Plan, a plan that may be familiar to some. If not here's the link. https://www.grandstand.com.au/retirementstakingplan

Starting with a bank of 1000 points, and an initial stake of 10 points, for the full trial period, the total profit to betfair prices and a 5% commission deduction was 1190 points, for a total stake of 467 points. The maximum stake employed was 40 points. Just taking the 11 races for February, the profit was 763 points for a total stake of 194 points, with the maximum stake being 31 points.

I'll be continuing to apply the plan to the selections over the next 30 betting days, and will add the running tally to the updated figures.

Thanks for your question, retriever. I haven't kept a track of the filtered selections. I've decided to continue with just the refined selection method, as it managed a worthwhile profit on the initial trial, and was also more selective, which suits my betting style. Whether it continues to, only time will tell!
