Terrible news about the recent death of Micheal O’Sullivan - really brings home what is a hard sport for jockeys , brocken bones are run of the mill for these lad’s and the ultimate danger is overlooked - best wishes and thoughts go out to all his family and connections .
 
Yeh what a shame, only 24 and looked like he was going to be a top jump jockey, very sad.

Just read this.... "O’Sullivan is the first to die as the direct result of a fall on an Irish racecourse since Kieran Kelly at Kilbeggan in 2003."

At least it doesn't happen that often (but there was also Jack De Bromhead 2022).

And Graham Lee (flat jockey) is now paralysed from the neck down, which is awful. At least his JustGiving target of £100 got smashed, they've raised £200k.
