• Hi Guest, The forum will be moving hosts on 26 July and as such will be closed from Midday until the move has completed.
As we will be with new hosts it may take a while before DNS get updated so it could take while before you can get back on the forum.
I think it will take at least 4 hours but could easily be 48!

  • Sorry for the ongoing issues that you may have been experiencing whilst using the forum lately

It really is frustrating when the forum slows down or Server Error 500 pops up.

Apparently the hosts acknowledge there is a problem.
Thank you for using our services and sorry for the experienced delay!
Unfortunately, these errors are due to a higher server load. Our senior department knows about the issue and they are working towards a permanent resolution of the issue, however, I'd advise you to consider using our new cPanel cloud solutions: https://www.tsohost.com/web-hosting

I will have to investigate what the differences are with what We have know compared to the alternative service they want us to migrate to.
    Keep safe.

Hello all,

It has been a fantastic week of 2yo racing with some very smart performances.

I was very taken with the performance of Gisburn earning a speed figure of 69 and i think the time would of been better had he not lost a couple of lengths drifting to the rail.

"GISBURN had shown clear promise here on his debut over 5f last month and was the only member of the field with previous racecourse experience. His rider made the most of it, and he was well on top from 2f out, pulling right away in the manner of a colt with obvious Royal Ascot potential. He looks exciting, and the Coventry will presumably be his race."

Was the race contested tonight by Lethal Blast a race to follow he took them round at what looked like a fast pace & was swallowed up in the last furlong, I particularly liked Vandads run he was in receipt of a lot of weight though, but I’m sure there are better race watchers than me on this forum

In my humble opinion, it's difficult to say with 3yr olds, as Adayar was running a shorter trip at Sandown and improved tremendously when upped to 1m 4, but then, Alenquer beat other horses too that have gone on and won like Lone Eagle, who was upped in trip to win a Listed and previously was a group 3 winner, so the form may have some depth. Certainly worth tracking and can win another Group 3 again when placed in the right race at the right distance. Difficult to say if he will improve much more or not but could well do so.

Now the dust has settled on Royal Ascot here are my top figures up to and including 19th June, the Coventry is the best 2yo race of the season, Poetic Flare is an above average 3yo given his optimum conditions and some surprises in the 4yo+'s
