Bets

I see there is no thread to put bets on so best begin a thread.

Having some fun. Not into flat racing.

£2 E/W Otago 14/1 6.55 Brighton. Won 4 times at course.

You could put any bets you have here, also.

Just put £20 at 11/4, Hold Your Fort. I thought about putting £50 at 9/2 but just logged in to Betfair, and found it is now 11/4! So I cut my amount as p*s*ed off lol!

I quite like horses that have dance or dancer in the name, for some reason, and since Dancingonegde has Cobden riding, I'd probably opt for Dancingonegde in that race, but good luck with your pick.

I've read that you prefer the jumps on other posts, I like both the jumps and the flat, but on a day like today (York Dante meeting), I usually skip jumps and most of the other meets (except Yarmouth today for some cross-card doubles).

Hold Your Fort finished 2nd. He loves Newton Abbot as won here, 4 times in row! A horse I'm putting on my hit list! I thought Belgarum wouldn't stay!

Well we both got that one wrong ey, just shows it can be hard to pick the winners, there was only 5 running and we picked two different horses and neither got the winner. Never mind eh.

Hunters Chases are no good for me, not sure why but I never pick seem to pick the winner, maybe due to the length of the races and the age of the horses, not sure, but I'll pick one so you can avoid it - I think I'd opt for Ballydesmond, the 8 year old, came 3rd two races back and has age on the other horses, but as said, I'm usually useless with Hunters Chases.

Good luck. I think Peter Bowen has just retired, Mickey Bowen seems to have taken over the licence now.

I've done pretty naff at York, unless I get lucky in the last race but it will only make even(ish), otherwise I'll be about £40 down.

Well done that lad, hope you watched it coz that was a cracker (for you), looked beaten 2nd last but came back and jumped the last beautifully, bet you enjoyed that one.

Thanks. An ABSOLUTE cracker. That was so exciting. I was screaming from the turn in! I thought I was getting £70 profit but for some reason, Betfair gave me £89 profit. I'll take it!

I got lucky with a little double at end of York (Richard Hannon), nothing big but brought my losses down to £12, not bad for a day at York, it could have been worse.

I'm going to put loads of multiples on now then off to the track and will place some big singles, and have a few ciders. Bit miffed with the weather today, hopefully the sun breaks out but it's cloudy atm.
