• Hi Guest, The forum will be moving hosts on 26 July and as such will be closed from Midday until the move has completed.
As we will be with new hosts it may take a while before DNS get updated so it could take while before you can get back on the forum.
I think it will take at least 4 hours but could easily be 48!

  • There seems to be a problem with some alerts not being emailed to members. I have told the hosts and they are investigating.

  • Sorry for the ongoing issues that you may have been experiencing whilst using the forum lately

It really is frustrating when the forum slows down or Server Error 500 pops up.

Apparently the hosts acknowledge there is a problem.
Thank you for using our services and sorry for the experienced delay!
Unfortunately, these errors are due to a higher server load. Our senior department knows about the issue and they are working towards a permanent resolution of the issue, however, I'd advise you to consider using our new cPanel cloud solutions: https://www.tsohost.com/web-hosting

I will have to investigate what the differences are with what We have know compared to the alternative service they want us to migrate to.
    Keep safe.

An equivalent system builder like HRB for football?

Does anyone know of an online ( or such ) system builder for football?

One that you can devise and test ideas / systems, much like horse racing ie. HorseRaceBase style?

Doesn't have to be overly complicated. Just assign points for wins, league positions, etc. for upcoming matches.

Any links to such would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have used both programs in the past and both are excellent but felt I needed something different,I dont know if you are familiar with the R programming language, I decided to have a go at trying to teach myself, this is what I came up with

Hi StuartH StuartH Thanks.
No, I am not familiar with R programming language.......I had never heard of it actually.
It seems every year around this time I find myself drawn to learning some kind of programming.
Probably due to football....lol.
Perhaps one year I will actually 'get it done'.

With the above CGMBet seems too complicated and seems ELO based.
Soccer Stats tracker would be helpful but still not what I need.

I think my best option would be for some kind of league table / results / fixtures pull from somewhere and then work my own spreadsheet alongside, rating the fixtures.

Try this site I think you will find it is what you need
Betting-Data Excel Workbook I have used it and and everything you require is in it

Thanks StuartH StuartH I was aware of the Football-data site.
Still not there yet......

I'm looking for a simple filtering system for the days matches ( from the top euro leagues ) along the lines of:-

IF H is 5 places above A in league table......1......else 0
IF H has won 60%+ of home matches this season........1.........else 0
IF A has lost 60%+ of away matches this season.........1........else 0

I would then have a shortlist of those scoring 3 points from which to pick from.....etc.

This is just simplifying it for starters....
