To see how VDW worked the AR, it is worth looking at the Pegwell Bay example.

Read the comment after Smart Tar and ask why his AR wasn't included in the example.

I don't use the rating myself nowadays, but have in the past and when using it as just one part of form reading, found it useful.

If I have understood right, if a horse gets into a battle with a higher ar horse and better yet wins the battle it is a good sign
